Travel today was very smooth, however the roads on I40 are terrible. We left Nashville about 8:00 Central Time and arrived in Memphis at 12. We made a pit stop at a Walmart and picked up a few items that we needed and then headed to the campground. We are literally right across the street from Graceland. Once we settled in the girls went for a quick swim and when they got back Lauren Elizabeth, Ann Wells and I went to tour Graceland. It was great. Both girls loved it. They thought it would be bigger but were amazed at what was inside the house. My favorite place was the meditation garden. After we got back from the tour we went to eat dinner at Marlowe’s BBQ and Ribs. We were picked up by a pink limousine. This placed was featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. It was so much fun. This is one of several places featured on the Food Network that we will be dining, As I type this both girls are out taking pictures of their Gnomes they brought on the trip. They have had fun photographing them traveling across the US.
I hope you are enjoying our trip. Sorry there have not been many funny happenings as of yet but I am sure as we all get tired and tired of each other things will get more comical.
We hope Taylor (the Housesitter) is loving the pool life and being the mom of 2 rotten dogs. Thanks Taylor for taking care of everything at the Henderson House.....
